Government and Private Sector Dialogue

The stakeholder consultation on the review of business regulatory process between government, CSOs and the private sector took place with resounding success from the 19th to the 20th of February, 2024. The private sector business entities, civil society organizations and the representatives from relevant government agencies were under one roof for the dialogue.

The stakeholder consultation meeting was commissioned by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Employment (MoICE), this was orchestrated to streamline and fortify regulatory frameworks, fostering an environment conducive to sustainable economic growth and development. The Ministry’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and partnership served as the cornerstone for this endeavor.

Facilitated by the EU funded project- Voice for Green Change Partnership (V4GCP), in collaboration with the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI), this collaborative initiative exemplified the power of synergistic partnerships in driving positive change. Together, these organizations orchestrated a platform for robust discourse, ensuring that the voices of all stakeholders were heard and their perspectives duly considered.

The two day consultation meeting not only underscored the collective dedication to discuss the business regulatory reforms but also underscored the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect that defines the relationship between government entities, CSOs, and the private sector.
